Badge #3

Nov 1, 09:35 PM

So I’m a day late. It’s my badge challenge so I reserve the right to be late.

Self portrait. In the evening. Tired. Bad lighting. All of it. My normal look.

Five things that are wonderful about myself:
1. I really like to wear clothes that are “Mrs. Carlson’s style” as a few of my students have put it when they think that I can’t hear them.
2. I can’t help but try to make people feel better or make jokes to cheer them up when I feel that they are sad or in an unhappy situation. (I am occasionally admonished for this.)
3. I really like to organize other people’s stuff, and occasionally my own. (I think that I am good at it but that could just be hubris.)
4. I am willing to try almost anything once. (Not heights or swimming with sharks or anything having to do with snot.)
5. I am unintentionally silly on far too many occasions.

Two things at which I am talented:
1. I am talented at motivating other people. (At least the little ones.)
2. I am a good listener. (But that may be one of those things where I’m just fooling myself.)

Five goals for this month:
1. Organize my science prep room.
2. Finish five of the partially finished projects in my “partially finished project” drawer.
3. Figure out what on Earth to buy as a birthday present for Chris.
4. Get more sleep. (I’m tired.)
5. Start fitness training for the Zombie Run for Your Lives event next December.

Five goals for the year:
1. Stop feeling guilty for only doing what is needed rather than taking on all of the extras.
2. Finish ALL unfinished projects.
3. Make lap quilts for all of the nephews and nieces.
4. Shorten the stack of books next to the bed by half by actually reading them and not just moving them.
5. Cut the debt in half.

My award for awesomeness.

I’m off to send my e-mails as soon as I post this.

Jean has already posted hers over on her blog.

  1. You totally deserve that award, Donnell. Nicely done.
